What to Pack First When Moving

• Offseason shoes, clothes, and accessories: If you are sure not to use anything for over a month, pack it
• Specialized kitchenware: When preparing to move out, you rarely have time to prepare any food you wish. Therefore, pack all those appliances you use rarely in advance, such as ice-cream cups, condiment dishes, extra dishes, cake plates, barbecue tongs, food storage containers, etc.

After packing all the items you use infrequently, you can now comfortably proceed to other items such as jewelry, games equipment, and toiletries that are not used daily. After that, pack the non-perishable pantry items, sewing supplies, office supplies, and miscellaneous curios that you can survive without for few days.

Rooms to pack first

At times, you may be confused on which room to pack first and which to pack last. To make it clear, less commonly used rooms such as living room and the guest room should be the first, followed by the most essential rooms such as the bedroom, kids’ room, bathroom, and the kitchen.

The few items not yet packed such as electronics, kitchen items, clothes, and any other essential items should be packed up few days before the moving day.
